ETERNAL RESOLVE
COMMUNITY CIRCLE
With the community grounded in self-discovery, we facilitate a play of spontaneous art-making that draws upon the cypher of the Community Circle. Collecting experience teaching youth and adults content from our curriculum, the Eternal Resolve instructors have been honored to have been in residence at Imagine Englewood if, The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago, and the Chicago Torture Justice Center in the Summer of 2020. We are proudly committed to creating a safe environment where our community can access, understand, and realize their personal truths. Eternal Resolve has held workshops and performances at the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago, Links Hall, Compound Yellow, and The Dance Center of Columbia College Chicago.
"Eternal” represents the observance of the inner soul and spirit. “Resolve” solves our personal truth. Eternal Resolve was an initiative established in the Summer of 2020 by Artistic Director, Keisha Janae and Trell Whatley. This initiative guides playful activations using movement and self-expressive arts, helping participants to process their lives honestly and creatively. Eternal Resolve’s Community Activations have been designed in vision by Keisha Janae, gathering insights from the “Resolve Think Tank” and “ Movement Creators” a cohort of arts, movement, and education practitioners in commitment to research and rebuild a communal understanding and develop Life skills for personal development to share with our broader community.
